Online M.Ed with additional Endorsements
Notre Dame College’s online Master of Education degree program offers three endorsements;
- Computer Technology
- Reading
- Intervention Specialist for Mild/ Moderate Needs
You will be able to immediately practice these methods as you complete your coursework in our online program. The technology endorsement online courses focus on research studies and results pertaining to effective technology integration and assessment of the effectiveness of technology integration.
Benefits
- Take 1 course every eight weeks online and complete the program in approximately 2 years.
- Classes meet once a week in real-time using a virtual, web-based classroom so that students can still benefit from the expertise of their professors and gain insight and perspective from class discussions, all with the convenience of the online format.
Job Opportunities
Reading Endorsement allows you to gain experience to be able to teach post secondary reading, composition, literature and/or ESL in the Community Colleges. It can also lead to careers in adult education centers, library programs and high school teaching.
Intervention Specialist Endorsement allows new teachers to teach children through grade 6 and are licensed to work with students in kindergarten though the 12th grade. Mild/Moderate Intervention Specialists are employed by both public and private schools.
Computer Technology Endorsement develops technology skills for all teachers. Students who have completed the Technology Endorsement are highly respected lead teachers who present at conferences and conduct professional development seminars in their districts, become technology teachers and coordinators, and assume resource roles in their schools.
